MINSK, 19 February (BelTA) - Editor-in-chief of PolitRussia, political scientist Ruslan Ostashko analyzed the situation with energy resources and named promising areas in a recent episode of the V Teme [On Point] project on BelTA’s YouTube channel.
Amid the current situation with energy resources in Europe, the expert believes it relevant to develop this area both in Russia and Belarus. “If there is an opportunity to invest in enterprises that generate energy - nuclear power plants and any other enterprises, it is worth investing. You [Belarus] have a very interesting geographical position, because of which you suffered during the Great Patriotic War. You are at the crossroads between the West and the East. Today it is time you took advantage of it. The point of negativity in the relations [in Europe] is high, but the degree is changing. As soon as the degree becomes at least neutral, you will be able to capitalize on it and develop. That's why you need to invest now. Electricity will always be in demand,” Ruslan Ostashko said.
“You and we [Belarus and Russia] are among the few countries that can afford to produce cheap electricity. The demand will be high. Now is the time to invest,” the political scientist said.
