MINSK, 29 March (BelTA) – The offline final of the international business game Beginner Farmer will feature ten Belarusian teams, Secretary of the BRSM Central Committee Yulia Zinkevich told BelTA.
“The offline round of the international business game Beginner Farmer is over. The expert council shortlisted for the final 34 teams of young farmers from Russia, Belarus, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Germany, including ten winners of the final stage of the Belarusian national selection,” Yulia Zinkevich said.
Belarus will be represented by the teams of Kozlov Gymnasium No.8 of Zhlobin, the gymnasium of Kletsk, Pervomaisky Secondary School of Grodno Oblast, the school of the village of Stanislavovo in Sharkovshchina District, and the secondary school of the village of Vistychi in Brest District. The Belarusian finalists also include the teams of Glubokoye State Vocational Lyceum, Lobanok Maryina Gorka Agrarian Technical College, Belarusian State Agrarian Technical University, and the Gomelpromstroi company, as well as Nikolai Mozol, a representative of the club of young people with disabilities of Mikashevichi.
“The final of the business game will take place in Russia in May. Projects of the participants will be assessed by professionals. Winners will receive diplomas and gifts. The main prize is an internship in one of the participating countries,” Yulia Zinkevich said. “On behalf of the BRSM Youth Union, I would like to thank the Association of Business Support Infrastructure of Belarus that has helped the Belarusian participants prepare for the game and draw up business plans. The BRSM and the association have agreed to continue supporting the Belarusian finalists. Plans are in place to hold several webinars in the run-up to the final,” she added.
The main goal of the international business game Beginner Farmer is to find and support talented young people who are involved in the development and implementation of business projects to advance agriculture. The organizer is the Russian Union of Rural Youth. The organizer of the national stage of the game in Belarus is the BRSM with the support from the Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry.
