MINSK, 6 August (BelTA) – The second Belarus-Uzbekistan Women's Business Forum will be held in Tashkent on 26-27 August, Chairperson of Council of Republic Natalya Kochanova said during a meeting on the forum, BelTA has learned.
"The second Belarus-Uzbekistan Women's Business Forum will be held in Tashkent on 26-27 August. There is not much time left," Natalya Kochanova noted.
Natalya Kochanova mentioned that the first Belarus-Uzbekistan Women's Business Forum was held in Belarus last year. "It was quite successful. We host businesswomen and signed 15 contracts for, in my opinion, a significant amount - about Br100 million. I hope that this year the amount will be greater, based on the tasks set for us by the Belarusian president. During a visit by the Belarusian president to Uzbekistan in February, the parties signed a plan of measures to develop cooperation. This forum is a follow-up to the agreements reached during the president's visit to Uzbekistan.”
"On our part we must do our best and help our hosts to deliver a high-quality event. The forum should also yield an economic effect for our country," Natalya Kochanova emphasized.
