MINSK, 10 September (BelTA) – The book Superposition. Parallel Worlds gives an opportunity to see how Belarus developed in the last 30 years and understand that the Belarus president definitely has a superposition. Director General of the Belarusian Telegraph Agency (BelTA) Irina Akulovich made the statement during a presentation of the book published by BelTA’s publishing house with assistance of the Information Ministry, BelTA has learned.

Irina Akulovich said: “I will say a few words about the title. The word ‘superposition’ is not accidental. In today’s world we see a huge number of politicians, who look pretty and make very beautiful speeches from television screens as they tell the story of what they do. But actually these people have no position. Their words differ from their actions. And the actions themselves have nothing in common with interests of their countries and their nations. This is why when we talk about a superposition, we talk about the superposition of our president. Everyone knows it well: to create an independent country primarily in the interests of its own people.”

The BelTA director general remarked that the Parallel Worlds is the title of the exhibition that had prompted the birth of the book. “The exhibition was presented at the beginning of the year. We tried to analyze these two parallel worlds that truly exist. These are worlds where actions and slogans, creation and destruction exist. Two parallel worlds: the world of the state and the world of the opposition that has produced absolutely nothing. After all, you cannot build a state with words. And we didn’t see that kind of a superposition in that parallel world. The exhibition became the foundation. Our author Sergei Grigoryevich Musiyenko spent months in the Presidential Library,” Irina Akulovich pointed out.

In her words, the book Superposition. Parallel Worlds presents unique things that cannot be found anywhere else at the moment. “The first document the head of state signed vividly demonstrates that superposition. Apart from that, Sergei Grigoryevich [Musiyenko] has analyzed newspaper headlines of the 1990s. They were so colorful and crazy. And I’ve concluded that our opposition remains in the parallel world of projections. Absolutely nothing they wrote about in the early 1990s has come to be. This is why we offer an opportunity to analyze things. As the president says: give me facts. These are your projections and here are our facts. It is an opportunity for every person to analyze and see how the country developed for the last 30 years. And once again to understand that our president definitely has a superposition,” Irina Akulovich stated.

Asked about the book’s target audience, the BelTA director general assured that it is intended for the general public. “Sergei Grigoryevich [Musiyenko] said he had felt young again. Because the book is an analysis by the person, who saw all of that, lived through that and remembers it well. This is why the book contains a great deal of previously unknown facts. They will be interesting for the people, who will be able to recall the early 1990s. For instance, I am a person, who was born in the Soviet Union. I vividly remember the beginning of the 1990s. I remember coupons, shortages of furniture, cars, and long lines in shops. It is a book for those, who remember those times. And it is important for young people to understand where we started and what we have accomplished. Because all of it is created through very serious labor. And all of it began with the destruction of manufacturing cooperation ties and led to terrible things. This is why the book is for all kinds of audiences starting with 18 and to infinity,” Irina Akulovich concluded.

The texts were written by the head of the analytical center EcooM, member of the scientific advisory group under the State Secretariat of the Security Council of the Republic of Belarus Sergei Musiyenko. He has witnessed and taken part in many political processes in the country. The texts are based on the facts and statistics the author looks at from the point of view of his own experience. It is a particularly valuable approach.

It is a unique publication because it presents the entire diversity of materials from state-run and opposition printed media of the mid-1990s, which are not available to the general public. Newspaper headlines reflect the country’s life at the beginning of the efforts to establish Belarus’ independence. They also reflect the problems and challenges Belarusians faced and how the young state tackled them.

The book is already available for sale in the retail chains Belkniga and Akademkniga.
