MINSK, 11 October (BelTA) – Polish former judge Tomasz Szmydt said that the decision to revoke his passport is illegal, BelTA has learned.
"As a lawyer and a Polish citizen, I do not understand how this could happen," he said.
Tomasz Szmydt pointed out the non-compliance with laws. "Can they violate the Polish Constitution, the laws? I did not get any notice from the authority [on the revocation of the passport]. I haven't received anything," he stated.
Tomasz Szmydt explained that he learned about the decision from the Polish media: "But how? According to the Polish law, a person should receive a notice and read it, and then the decision comes into force." He added that there should be an opportunity to appeal this decision.

"They know my address and my email. I think the Polish authorities (the prosecutor's office or whoever) understand how email works, don’t they?" he stated.
