MINSK, 14 September (BelTA) - As it turned out, in a telephone conversation Polish Minister of Foreign Affairs Radosław Sikorski provided the Russian side with a number of sensitive information important for the security of Poland and NATO members, Polish former judge Tomasz Szmydt said in his YouTube project “Polish Truth with Tomasz Szmydt”, BelTA has learned.
“The matter pertained to the potential joining of the conflict in Ukraine by some NATO countries. Sikorski predicted such decisions depending on the course of the Russian offensive. He said that the USA sees Ukraine only as an intermediary in the fight against Russia. A similar fate may befall Poland, with which Radosław Sikorski fully agrees,” Tomasz Szmydt said.
Part of this conversation can be heard in the video posted by Russian pranksters Vovan and Lexus, who, impersonating former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, held this conversation with Radosław Sikorski.
“This is only part of the conversation; in reality, Radosław Sikorski said much more. He provided the Russian side with important intelligence information,” the former judge said.
In this regard, Tomasz Szmydt strongly advises Minister of Foreign Affairs Radosław Sikorski to resign. “If he does not do so, I call on all Polish opposition parties to declare a vote of no confidence in Sikorski or, at the very least, to send him for a compulsory psychiatric evaluation. This man's behavior and facial expressions indicate serious mental problems,” Tomasz Szmydt believes.
“I am submitting an application to the Prosecutor General's Office due to the fact that Radosław Sikorski disclosed information important for the security of the state and NATO members, i.e. he committed a crime under Article 130 (1) and (5) of the Criminal Code, for which the punishment is imprisonment for at least eight years and life imprisonment,” the former judge emphasized.
Tomasz Szmydt is also sending a request to the Internal Security Agency to launch an extended investigation against Radosław Sikorski in order to revoke his security clearance (access to classified information at NATO and national level), as Radosław Sikorski gives no guarantee that this information will be kept secret.
“Radosław Sikorski divulged a number of classified information concerning, among other things, U.S. and Polish strategy towards Ukraine by talking to Poroshenko and, in fact, to Russian bloggers. The legal basis for my statements is Article 24(1)(6) in conjunction with Article 10 of the Act of 5 August 2010 on the Protection of Classified Information,” Tomasz Szmydt concluded.
The Polish former judge has launched a YouTube channel called “Polish Truth with Tomasz Szmydt”, where he analyzes and shares his views on certain social political events.
