MINSK, 11 October (BelTA) - Polish former judge Tomasz Szmydt explained how the Prawda Polska Foundation annoyed the Polish authorities, BelTA has learned.
"In my opinion, the foundation can be made a platform, a bridge between the European Union and the East," Tomasz Szmydt said.
According to the Polish former judge, many parties in the EU believe that it is time to resume dialogue with Belarus and Russia. But there are no platforms for this yet.
"You can invite MEPs to Belarus. Belarus is not conducting special operations. It is a calm country. There is a visa waiver program. You can invite them over to talk," Tomasz Szmydt is sure.
He believes that it is possible to create a platform for parties that talk about peace and cooperation. "But this is a big threat not only to Poland. This is a threat to all parties of the European Union that are under the influence of the United States," he explained, adding that the latter is in favor of continuing the conflict, of having borders shut.
As it has been reported, Polish former judge Tomasz Szmydt linked the revocation of his passport with the opening of the Prawda Polska Foundation. According to him, the Polish authorities saw this as a threat and thus decided to ban him from meeting with people from other countries.
