MINSK, 31 October (BelTA) – Eurasia is a space where a new world order may be built, Syrian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Bassam Sabbagh said, BelTA has learned.
The Syrian foreign minister thanked the Belarusian government for the invitation and spoke highly of the organizational level of the conference. “Minsk is a capital that rejects hegemony, defends international cooperation and regional integration. I am here to discuss global and regional security, to reaffirm our commitment to a comprehensive dialogue and open discussions,” Bassam Sabbagh said.
The Syrian foreign minister noted that Eurasia is not just a geographical or political term, but also a space where a new world order can arise, a world order that developing countries are looking forward to.
Bassam Sabbagh emphasized the need to create structures that rely on interaction and collective solidarity to overcome the challenges of today. These challenges include attempts to destabilize the situation and interfere in internal affairs of Eurasian countries.
