MINSK, 26 January (BelTA) – Belarusians vote for the stable development of their country and continuity of traditions, Vitebsk Oblast Governor Aleksandr Subbotin told journalists after casting his ballot, BelTA has learned.
The governor voted at the polling station located in Sollertinsky Vitebsk State Music College. Aleksandr Subbotin noted that it is already a tradition for him to go to vote with his entire family. This time, too, he was flanked by his wife and daughter.
“My eldest daughter is voting in the presidential election for the first time, although she previously cast her ballot in the referendum on the Constitution and the single voting day,” the governor said.
Aleksandr Subbotin emphasized that he cast his vote for a worthy candidate. “We elect the president who can set trends. I ticked the box for the person I am ready to follow into battle,” he noted. He added that by taking part in the presidential election people make a contribution to shaping their future. “We vote for development, for peace and calm, for continuity of traditions by our children. Continuity is a must,” said Aleksandr Subbotin.
