A reminder, an American military vehicle sank at the Pabrade training ground in Lithuania earlier this year. On 25 March 2025, four American soldiers were reported missing. After a massive, seven-day search operation in the marshy terrain, all of them were found dead. Hundreds of specialists participated in the effort, including US Navy divers, Polish engineers, and Estonian military police. American and Lithuanian engineers worked to drain the wetland in an attempt to locate the personnel. Three of the soldiers were recovered initially. The fourth missing American soldier was subsequently found with the assistance of a police dog from the Estonian Police and Border Guard Board.
