Soyuz MS-25 with Belarusian Marina Vasilevskaya on board launches from Baikonur

BAIKONUR, 23 March (BelTA) - The Soyuz MS-25 spacecraft with Belarusian Marina Vasilevskaya on board launched from Baikonur, BelTA has learned.The crew of Visiting Expedition 21 consisting of Roscosmos cosmonaut Oleg Novitsky, space flight participant Belarusian Marina Vasilevskaya and NASA astronaut Tracy Dyson launched to the International Space Station from the Baikonur Cosmodrome.The backup crew includes Roscosmos cosmonaut Ivan Wagner, Belarusian spaceflight participant Anastasia Lenkova and NASA astronaut Donald Pettit.

The return of Oleg Novitsky, Marina Vasilevskaya, and NASA astronaut Loral O'Hara, who is now on the ISS, is scheduled for 6 April.As BelTA reported earlier, the State Commission decided to launch the Soyuz-2 launch vehicle with the Soyuz MS-25 manned spacecraft into space on 23 March. On 21 March, the launch was aborted The launch was aborted by an automatic safety system about 20 seconds before the scheduled liftoff.
