Sochi to host Atomexpo 2024 on 25-26 March

SOCHI, 25 March (BelTA) - The Atomexpo International Forum will be held in Sochi on 25-26 March, BelTA has learned.

The key theme of the forum in 2024 is Clean Energy: Creating the Future Together. Plans are in place to discuss the role of nuclear energy in national strategies to combat climate change. The forum will include a plenary session, thematic round tables and panel discussions involving a wide range of stakeholders from around the world. They are divided into thematic tracks: Industry, Energy, Logistics, Ecology, Digitalization, Healthcare, Science and Education. Visitors of the forum will get familiar with an exposition. The world’s leading companies of nuclear industry and related industries will present their technologies and competencies.

A Belarusian delegation, including representatives of the Energy Ministry, Belenergo, the Belarusian Nuclear Power Plant, the Belarusian Radioactive Waste Management Organization, Gosatomnadzor, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection, and others, will take part in Atomexpo 2024. The Belarusian Nuclear Power Plant will also present its stand with information about the plant’s construction and operation, its integration into the energy system and economy of the country. Those interested will be introduced to the history of the project and interesting facts about the advantages of using peaceful atom. Documents on cooperation between Belarusian and Russian specialized organizations will be signed on the sidelines  of the forum.

The Atomexpo International Forum is the largest exhibition and business platform to discuss the current state of the nuclear industry and launch its further development trends. Held since 2009, the forum is attended by heads of key companies of the international nuclear industry, government agencies, international and public organizations, and leading experts. The forum plays host to numerous business meetings, working contacts, and signing of partnership agreements and contracts.
