MINSK, 12 May (BelTA) - More than 200 young researchers will take part in the national youth forum "Belarus is a Smart Country” which will ooepm at the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus on 12 May, BelTA learned from the press service of the National Academy of Sciences.
"The forum will draw more than 200 young researchers, students and postgraduate students from all regions of Belarus. These are winners and prizewinners of national and international competitions, representatives of working youth in education and knowledge-intensive sectors of economy. The purpose of the event is to develop proposals to build smart Belarus," the press service said.
The panel discussions will address topical issues: education in the context of modern transformations, the economy of a smart state and digital technologies in public administration, the development of a smart society. The forum will adopt a declaration calling to increase the role and participation of young people in introducing digital technologies in all sectors of the Belarusian economy, developing the country's new industrial complex and forming a highly intelligent society.
In addition, from 10 to 14 May, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus will have Open Door Week. Visitors will be welcome to see the permanent exhibition "Achievements of National Science into Commercial Production" and visit scientific organizations of the Academy of Sciences.
