VITEBSK, 14 July (BelTA) – Belarus’ Deputy Prime Minister, Chairperson of the Organizing Committee of the Slavianski Bazaar festival Natalya Petkevich presented the Slavic Hope Award to a participant of the International Song Contest Vitebsk at the closing ceremony of the festival, BelTA has learned.
The deputy prime minister emphasized that the 34th edition of the International Arts Festival Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk provided attendees with positive emotions and memorable events while also introducing them to new and upcoming talent. “The festival is about all of us: spectators, local residents, visitors. Together, we make the festival what it is - kind, genuine, cordial, hospitable, joyful, happy, peaceful and, of course, ageless,” Natalya Petkevich noted.

She emphasized that the festival brings together different generations, people of different ages, residents of many countries who listen to the same music from the Vitebsk stage. “Let this unity transcend to other areas of our lives,” said the deputy prime minister.
She called for cherishing the positive memories of a festival for a long time. “The final curtain has not yet fallen, and we will witness the emergence of new musical talent. And these new stars are born at our Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk. And judging by the success stories of the contestants who later rose to stardom (some of them are present here today), we see that our beloved Belarus is a very good starting place,” said Natalya Petkevich.
