VITEBSK, 14 June (BelTA) – Flemish graphics, treasures of Pakistan, golden Khokhloma, samovars from all over the world – all this will be on display at the Vitebsk Regional Local Lore Museum in the run-up to and during the Slavianski Bazaar festival, director of the museum Tatyana Starinskaya said at a press conference, BelTA has learned.
During the Slavianski Bazaar festival the museum is set to unveil a new program that will combine traditional and modern forms of presentation. Exhibitions of the Belarus-Russia Union State will invite visitors to join the Walks with Pushkin, to see Leo Tolstoy Through the Eyes of Repin (the exposition will be located in the Zdravnevo museum-reserve), find out the secret of Golden Khokhloma: the Soul of Russia. Gzhel State University will bring a collection of their unique products. The Museum of Private Collections will show digital copies of paintings and a photo exhibition Treasures of Pakistan: a New Look.
Visitors will be able to see an exhibition of Flemish and Dutch graphics of the late 17th-19th centuries provided by a private collector. Its core will be the works of Van Dyck, Rembrandt, Van Gogh. The exposition will open at the end of June, Tayana Starinskaya informed.
The exhibition Samovars From Around the World will be another highlight of the exhibition program.
