GRODNO, 23 November (BelTA) – The last 24 hours in the temporary refugee accommodation facility in the transportation and logistics hub Bruzgi at the Belarusian-Polish border were calm, BelTA learned from Chairman of the Education, Science, Culture, and Social Development Commission of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Viktor Liskovich. The upper chamber of the Belarusian parliament has empowered the senator to coordinate the delivery of humanitarian aid to the refugees.
The senator said: “One can say the last 24 hours were calm. The actions we are taking help coordinate the work of all the agencies involved. The main task now is to set up a field bathhouse.”
Viktor Liskovich also made a few comments about the press center that will be opened near the logistics hub. It is supposed to facilitate the work of reporters and form common media space. It will help make the work of reporters more routine. Conditions for promptly sending up-to-date and most importantly true information will be enabled, the senator said. Specialists will take care of the operation of an Internet channel with a sufficient bandwidth, he assured.
