MINSK, 1 December (BelTA) – When working with young people, it is important to speak their language and to avoid formalism, Head of the Belarus President Administration Igor Sergeyenko said during an onsite meeting of the board of the President Administration on the youth policy, BelTA has learned.
"In working with young people, we need to move away from formalism, try to speak their language," Igor Sergeyenko said. To the popular opinion that “we lost the youth”, he responded as follows: "I absolutely disagree with this. Maybe some part was lost. Today we need to focus more on nurturing an active civil, patriotic position."
He noted that if today Belarus does not work with its young people, then it will be somebody else. "It's no secret that today many young people go to study in Poland and Russia," Igor Sergeyenko gave an example. "This is also a topic that needs to be addressed not in terms of bans, but in terms of improving the level of the educational process in the country, making it more attractive."
