MINSK, 7 May (BelTA) - The government action program for 2025-2029 retains its social focus, Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus Igor Sergeyenko said at a sitting of the House of Representatives on 7 May, BelTA has learned.
“As defined by the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus and the law on the National Assembly, the prime minister of Belarus has submitted to the House of Representatives the Belarusian government action program for 2025-2029. Today, in accordance with Article 97 of the country’s Basic Law, we will consider it and make the appropriate decision,” Igor Sergeyenko said.
At the stage of its development, the proposals of MPs were sent to the Economy Ministry, the speaker said. “Some of them have been taken into account in the course of development,” he said. “The main objectives of the program come from the tasks set by the president of the Republic of Belarus to all government agencies. These, in particular, include efforts to increase economic sustainability, human potential development, new standards of quality of life, promotion of digital technologies, realization of the potential of each region, and export capacity development.”
“In general, the program retains its social orientation. I would like to note that the document provides for the preparation of a number of normative legal acts, including laws. The task of the parliamentary corps is to get involved in their development at the earliest stages,” Igor Sergeyenko added.
Today Belarusian Prime Minister Aleksandr Turchin is set to present the government action program for 2025-2029 in the House of Representatives of the National Assembly.
