MINSK, 1 February (BelTA) - Proposals received in the preparation for the 6th Belarusian People's Congress and summarized for detailed discussion will not be pigeonholed, Head of the Belarus President Administration Igor Sergeyenko said in an interview to STV TV Channel, BelTA has learned.
“Work to prepare for the Belarusian People's Congress is in full swing. It has been practically completed. There have been meetings of delegates at the regional level this week. A number of other events took place, including dialogue platforms. All this is being summarized and documents are being prepared for discussion,” said Igor Sergeyenko.
One such draft document has already been published. It is Belarus' social and economic development guidelines for 2021-2025. Proposals on the improvement of the political system are also in the pipeline.
With the majority of preparatory work done in advance, two days, 11-12 February, would be enough to discuss the key points at the 6th Belarusian People's Congress.
“Some of our delegates will be able to speak at the meeting. Discussion platforms and interviews will be held additionally. The discussion of the main areas, including possible reforming of the social and political system, will continue afterwards. The proposals will not be shelved,” the head of the Belarus President Administration said.
