MINSK, 22 March (BelTA) - The Belarusian Parliament must be active in international arena, Chairman of the House of Representatives Igor Sergeyenko said at the first sitting of the first session of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the eighth convocation, BelTA has learned.
"Yesterday, when giving his assessment of the work of the previous Parliament, the president outlined the tasks and guidelines for us, namely active engagement in the socio-political and socio-economic life of the regions. The Parliament must further develop international relations, stand up, if necessary, against opponents and take an active public position," Igor Sergeyenko said.
