MINSK, 21 August (BelTA) – More than 5,000 personnel and about 1,000 units of hardware will be involved in the CSTO exercises this year, Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff Andrei Serdyukov said at a briefing for the press, BelTA has learned.
“Overall, the joint exercises in 2025 will involve more than 5,000 personnel and about 1,000 units of weaponry, military, and special equipment,” Andrei Serdyukov said.
He also added that the practical measures for deploying national contingents to the exercise areas have already begun. Troops and hardware are being delivered to the training grounds by military transport aircraft, rail, and road transport according to schedule.
“Given the volume of activities already carried out, I am confident that the joint exercises will be conducted in an organized and high-quality manner, and that the training and research objectives will be achieved. The collective forces will demonstrate high field proficiency and coordination of actions," the chief of the CSTO Joint Staff noted.
