MINSK, 16 October (BelTA) – Belarus and Serbia cooperate in many areas, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Serbia to the Republic of Belarus Ilina Vukajlović told reporters following her meeting with Chairman of the House of Representatives Igor Sergeyenko, BelTA has learned.
The courtesy call took place shortly after the start of the ambassador’s diplomatic work in the Republic of Belarus.
“Belarus is a beautiful, clean, neat country with amazing nature. But the most important thing for me, as a professional and a human being, is that your people are wonderful, very polite and hardworking,” said Ilina Vukajlović.
According to her, the two countries cooperate in multiple areas. “Belarus has a powerful industry, great scientific potential, a very good healthcare system. We are trying to expand cooperation in absolutely all areas in the interests of our peoples and countries. If we take it up a notch, we will be able to increase trade with virtually any country,” the ambassador remarked.
“We have a history of friendly, cordial, brotherly relations. Our people are friends. We are ready to continue in the same vein,” added Ilina Vukajlović.
