MINSK, 1 October (BelTA) – Serbia and Belarus have everything in place to step up cooperation, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Serbia to the Republic of Belarus Ilina Vukajlović told journalists. She handed over her credentials to Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko on 1 October, BelTA has learned.
“In the four months that I have been in Belarus, I have managed to see your country with my own eyes, how you live and work. Belarus has successful enterprises, strong industry, and a very solid scientific potential. We will try to work together to promote our relations,” the diplomat said.
The ambassador went on saying: “Serbia, as our president has recently said, is a rapidly developing country; in the first quarter, it was the fastest growing economy in Europe.”
Commenting on relations with Belarus, Ilina Vukajlović emphasized: “We have a very large joint potential. This year, we mark 30 years of Belarus-Serbia diplomatic relations. We will continue to deepen our cooperation in all areas.”
