KALUGA, 2 September (BelTA) – Kaluga Oblast Governor Vladislav Shapsha described cooperation with Belarusian builders as exemplary during a meeting with the Belarusian delegation led by Belarusian Ambassador to Russia Aleksandr Rogozhnik on 2 September, BelTA has learned.
"I cannot pass by the key area of our cooperation, such an exemplary one – construction. Here we have achieved very good results: almost 0.5 million square meters of housing, kindergartens, schools and other social facilities has been put into operation. I am very grateful to the Belarusian builders for their contribution to the creation of a comfortable and favorable environment," the governor said.
By the beginning of the new academic year, Belarusian builders have put into operation a modern school for more than a thousand students in Kaluga. "We expect to continue cooperation and are ready to sign an agreement with Belarus' Ministry of Construction and Architecture," Vladislav Shapsha emphasized.
"Partnership with Belarus means more than doing business for Kaluga Oblast. First of all it is friendship based on the common values that have bound our peoples for centuries. It is hard to find areas in which Kaluga Oblast would not interact with Belarus: industry, agriculture, construction, science, education, culture, tourism and many other areas," he pointed out.
"Belarus is a reliable and trusted friend for Kaluga Oblast. Our relations will always remain friendly and will be strengthened. We count on your support," Vladislav Shapsha added.
