Russia’s Bashkortostan shows interest in cooperation with Belarusian State University

MINSK, 9 February (BelTA) – Belarusian State University (BSU) hosted a Bashkortostan delegation headed by Education and Science Minister Ildar Mavletberdin on 8 February. The partners from Bashkortostan showed an interest in an opportunity of internships for young scientists, advanced professional training courses, and joint participation in grant programs, BelTA has learned from the BSU press service.

The goal of the visit was to develop partnership relations in education and science with BSU. One of the key topics of discussion was the organization of online joint educational programs in genetics, chemistry, biology and pharmaceutics. The parties also discussed the signing of a framework agreement with the Eurasian Scientific and Educational Center and the development of interdisciplinary education at universities. 

According to the press service, the parties plan to explore proposed initiatives soon in order to determine specific cooperation areas.

BSU and Bashkortostan interact under four cooperation agreements: with Ufa University of Science and Technology (2007), Institute of Biology of the Ufa Research Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences (2003), Eastern Academy of Economics and Legal Humanities (2013), Committee of Bashkortostan Republic for UNESCO and BSU (2023). 

The parties maintain ties through joint events, internships, academic exchanges, and scientific research. Cooperation in geography and ecology is the most vibrant.
