MINSK, 15 June (BelTA) – The riots going on in the United States of America may evolve into a color revolution. It is a technology that the U.S. leadership has tried and tested in the territory of other countries. Vladimir Kornilov, a political observer with the media group Rossiya Segodnya, shared the opinion in a recent episode of BelTA’s YouTube project On Point.
Speaking about riots in the USA, the political analyst compared them to Black Lives Matter (BLM) protests, which took place in the USA five years ago after the African American George Floyd was murdered. “It was some accident that was hyped up to the max. Meanwhile, we understand perfectly well that such deaths had happened before and still happen after. A huge number of them. But they had to focus on Floyd’s case in order to start this campaign,” Vladimir Kornilov said.

The political observer pointed out that BLM protests suddenly stopped after Donald Trump lost the presidential election in 2020: “Why did they stop? Where are all the people, who promised to dismantle monuments to all kinds of slave owners? Everyone suddenly stopped worrying about that.”

According to Vladimir Kornilov, it was just a political technology titled as color revolution. Americans have tried and tested it for a long time in the territory of other countries. “But do you see the difference between the current period and all the previous ones? In the past we said that a color revolution is impossible in the United States of America because there is no U.S. embassy over there. But now we see it is possible. Because Democrats and Liberals polished this practice five years ago [as part of BLM protests] and realized that it is possible to accomplish it in the United States as well. A standard technology has been put to use,” the political observer underlined.
