MINSK, 30 March (BelTA) – The figure skater Roman Kostomarov talked to BelTA’s YouTube project V Teme [On Point] about how a documentary about his recovery after a trauma had been filmed.

Roman Kostomarov said: “The filming proceeded routinely. It was rather calm and comfortable. The filming crew was very attentive and careful. We joined the process rather comfortably and smoothly. The guys were practically always nearby. They always accompanied all my steps, let’s say, some new steps or old steps in a new life. And they filmed all of it for the sake of this documentary. But working with them was very comfortable. The guys did great.”

Roman Kostomarov noted that materials for the film had been collected for rather a long time. “And the filming itself probably took about three months. Not every day but over the course of three months. Of course, later on they filmed a lot of materials and interviews, skating, training sessions, some falls, and behind the scenes of some shows. Some other things. They filmed kids and friends. This is why there was a lot of material.”

“Then this film premiered at the VDNKh expo on 7 March. As from 8-9 March the film was screened in movie theaters and on the WIN platform where four episodes are available. The TV series offers a longer, more extended version,” Roman Kostomarov stated.
