MINSK, 27 November (BelTA) – At the fourth session of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the eighth convocation, Roman Brodov was elected Chairman of the Standing Committee for Economy, Budget and Finances, BelTA has learned.
Members of the Council of the Republic supported the nominated candidate through a secret ballot.
Roman Brodov expressed his gratitude for the trust and support placed in him. “I am prepared to work beyond the commission’s core mandate. Should my knowledge and experience be of use to any of you, please know that I am open and will gladly provide my assistance,” he stated. “I see my primary task as fulfilling the requirements of the law, the instructions of the Council of the Republic’s leadership, and the objectives set by the head of state.”
