Refugees meet with WHO representatives, tell them about Poland's use of gas against children

GRODNO, 22 November (BelTA) - The refugees told WHO representatives, who visited the temporary accommodation point in the transport and logistics center on the Belarusian-Polish border on 22 November, about the criminal actions of the Polish security forces, BelTA has learned.

A large number of refugees gathered to talk with the WHO mission representatives. They said they hope for their help in opening a humanitarian corridor to the EU.

The refugees also complained about the Polish security forces. "They used gas against us and our children. There were a lot of victims, almost no one could fall asleep the night after the incident, the children were crying. Please, tell the world about this," one of the men told Gerald Rockenschaub, Director of Emergency Response at the WHO Regional Office for Europe, Head of Mission.

Another refugee at the transport and logistics center told the WHO representative that he wanted to get to Europe to find work there. He also introduced him to his child.
