GRODNO, 18 November (BelTA) – Refugees in the camp near the Belarusian border checkpoint Bruzgi have been split into groups and are getting transferred to a nearby transportation and logistics hub, BelTA has learned.
Suffering from cold and the long wait for the European Union's decision to open a humanitarian corridor, most of the refugees from the field camp have decided to move to the warehouse.
One refugee previously told a BelTA reporter that this night had been very cold and windy, it had been raining, everyone had suffered from cold weather a lot and had been trying to warm up at campfires in the morning.

A nearby logistics hub is being prepared to welcome and warm up the freezing people. The refugees will be fed and will get warm over there.

One of the refugees said that everyone is waiting for Germany's decision to take them in. "I'm from Iraq. This camp is very good. We appreciate what Belarus is doing for us. But still we hope to reach Germany. We don't intend to go home."

"Hundreds of concerned Belarusians have helped the people trapped on the border. We are grateful to everyone who did not stay away from their plight and who helped them with clothes, food, water," the Belarusian Red Cross said.
