GRODNO, 3 December (BelTA) - At about 15.00 refugees came out for a spontaneous rally at one of the entrances to the transport and logistics center that houses the refugee temporary shelter, BelTA has learned.
Several dozen people, including many children, lined up with handwritten posters addressed to the Pope, Europe: "Your silence is killing us", "We want to see your humanity".
“We are not going back to Iraq. We want to get into Europe for the sake of our children's future. Winter has come, children are catching colds. Why cannot they solve this issue?” one of the refugees said.
“We want them to open the border for us. Have some pity for our children,” another refugee said.
The refugees hope that their appeals will be heard.
