GRODNO, 10 December (BelTA) – Many of the refugees are heading to Europe in order to reunite with their families, a refugee from Iraqi Kurdistan told BelTA.
Today is the 33rd day since the refugees arrived at the Belarusian-Polish border. They are staying in a temporary shelter in the Belarusian transportation and logistics hub Bruzgi. The people still hope for a positive resolution of the situation.
The refugee said: “The key problem is that it is very cold. I am not accustomed to such weather. It is good that we have a roof above our heads and there is food.” The young man said he does not want to go back to Kurdistan, this is why he continues waiting for a positive resolution of the situation.
“I have nothing back home. No job, no money, no property. And the main reason is that my parents, my brothers and sisters live in Germany. I simply want to reunite with the family,” the refugee explained.
