GRODNO, 7 December (BelTA) - I am tired of the lies of the West, but I hope that our problems will be finally resolved, a refugee from Iraq told BelTA.
Today is the 30th day for the refugees at the border. They are living in a temporary accommodation facility in the transport and logistics center near the Bruzgi checkpoint.
"We appreciate what Belarus has been doing for us. We have food, a roof over our heads. But this is not what we are here for. We all want a speedy resolution of the situation. I'm tired of the West's lies. They've promised us one thing, now they say another. We read the news and do not understand what is happening, what the future holds for us," he said.
"We will not return to Iraq. There is no work, no money, and I, personally, will be in mortal danger there," the refugee said.
Today, refugees held another spontaneous rally near the transport and logistics center. It was mainly children who participated in it. They came out with handwritten posters appealing to Europe and the Pope for help.
