MINSK, 1 July (BelTA) – Preserving the memory of the Great Victory should always be in focus of the Union State, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at the plenary session of the 8th Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia on 1 July, BelTA has learned.
“Preserving the memory about the most crucial events in our common history, thwarting attempts to distort history, and promoting patriotism among the youth should always be high on our agenda. Being descendants of the generation of victors is not only a great honor, but also a great responsibility for preserving the traditions of brotherly relations and mutual support that grew even stronger during the harsh years of the war,” Vladimir Putin said.
