Pruzhany hosting Vytoki 2024 festival

PRUZHANY, 7 June (BelTA) - Mikhail Grishkevich, Chairman of the Pruzhany District Executive Committee, told the media how Pruzhany was preparing to host the sport and cultural festival Vytoki during a visit to sports facilities on 7 June, BelTA has learned.

“Every time you prepare for a holiday, you need to put the house in order. We did a lot of things, starting from sprucing up roads and houses. The town acquired new murals, cultural forms, for example, I Love Pruzhany [decoration]. All this was done to beautify the life of the local people, to show that the holiday is coming and we are ready for it,” he said.

Sports facilities were also taken care of: the stadium was cleaned and beautified. Today it will be given to children, because, according to the chairman of the district executive committee, all celebrations are held for children in the first place. “By the end of the year the stadium will get its artificial covering and be ready to also offer new services,” Mikhail Grishkevich said.

He believes that Vytoki is a necessary festival for the country. “The country learns its history, people learn how other cities live, small towns like Pruzhany, live. It is also popularization of a healthy lifestyle and sports, which means a healthier nation,” the chairman of the district executive committee said.

The town residents are keen on sports. “The water palace, taking into account the water park, has a load of 98%. It is constantly in demand. It is especially evident in winter, when people have less work to do, and come to have fun in the pool together with their families,” Mikhail Grishkevich said. He also added that the Ice Palace is also popular among the locals.

The sport and cultural festival Vytoki is taking place in Pruzhany on 6-8 June. Its participants have already taken part in the nationwide tourism campaign “Travel! Experience! Get Inspired!”, attended the exhibition of the National Academy of Sciences and decorated the roller skating park as part of a creative interactive campaign. The program will also include a sport and history quest and a traditional Olympic quest.
