MINSK, 14 June (BelTA) – The place I am in today is the safest, Roman Protasevich told a briefing for the press in Minsk on 14 June, BelTA has learned.
"The place I am in now is the safest place for me. Because I understand perfectly well that many people consider me a traitor. Although I want to emphasize that I have not betrayed anyone,” Roman Protasevich noted. “To be honest, probably, if I were offered to go free now, I would definitely ask for state protection. Of course, I am in a pre-trial detention center, but I am treated normally. I have no complaints."
Roman Protasevich added that he has been always guided solely by his beliefs in his actions. Now he has made an informed decision to cooperate with the investigation.
