Prime ministers launch postage stamps to mark 10th anniversary of Eurasian Economic Union

YEREVAN, 1 October (BelTA) – The prime ministers of the EAEU member states launched the postage stamps to mark the 10th anniversary of the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union, BelTA learned. 

Within the framework of the meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in Yerevan, the official first-day-of-issue dedication ceremony was held with the participation of the heads of government of the EAEU member states. The ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko of Belarus, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan of Armenia, Prime Minister Oljas Bektenov of Kazakhstan, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers - Head of the Presidential Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic Akylbek Japarov and Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.



The first ceremony to dedicate special Eurasian postage stamps with the participation of the heads of government of the EAEU member states took place in 2015 to celebrate the singing of the EAEU Treaty. The second issue (2019) was dedicated to the fifth anniversary of the Eurasian Economic Union. The third issue (2022) celebrated the 10th anniversary of the Eurasian Economic Commission. Thus, the 2024 issue is the fourth one in a row.
