MINSK, 11 August (BelTA) – Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenko presented state awards to more than 40 Belarusians in the Palace of the Republic on 11 August, BelTA has learned.
Roman Golovchenko said: “Today upon the president's instructions state awards will be presented to the best representatives of the country's worker collectives. Every one of you is an embodiment of professionalism, reliability, and dedication to duty, readiness to bear responsibility for the decisions you make. You follow your chosen careers with honor and serve as an example for others. The results you have personally achieved and your organizations have achieved make our country proud.”
A number of representatives of the civil engineering industry were awarded. “Thanks to your contribution every year our country becomes more beautiful, more comfortable, and more up-to-date. You help implement large-scale investment projects virtually in all spheres of life,” the head of government stated.
The prime minister thanked metro construction workers. “The third metro line [in Minsk] was opened last year. It allowed substantially changing the lives of residents of our city for the better. I thank you for it. Work continues, the city grows, the construction of the third metro line will continue. We hope it will be commissioned in full and will embellish our city,” he remarked.
State awards were also presented to representatives of the economic sphere, the customs service, and the taxation service. “These people are at the forefront of the efforts meant to ensure the economic security of our country. The stable replenishment of the state budget and hence the implementation of the most important social and economic programs depends on your skillful and smooth work,” Roman Golovchenko stressed.
A number of state awards went to representatives of Belarusian science and education. “You play a special role in the social and economic development of the country. We are grateful to you for your contribution to Belarus' renown as a country with a high intellectual potential and human capital. You successfully create new academic programs, master new cutting-edge education methods, and realize scientific projects. We are truly proud of it,” Roman Golovchenko said.
State awards also went to workers of the production sector, culture, social sphere, and healthcare.
The prime minister summarized: “Dear friends, today we celebrate your accomplishments. We thank you for the scrupulous attitude to work, for professionalism and initiatives. I wish you, your families, your collectives strong health, happiness, wellbeing. I express appreciation for your selfless creative labor for the benefit of our motherland.”
