MINSK, 27 March (BelTA) - The Russian and Belarusian organizing committees for the 12th Forum of the Regions of Belarus and Russia held a web-based meeting on 27 March, BelTA learned.
Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Yury Vorobyov noted that the future forum of regions is held in the year of the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, and this is reflected in its theme: “Youth of Belarus and Russia - heirs of the Great Victory and the future of the Union State”. “In this regard, we expect that the anniversary of the Victory and youth policy will be given special attention,” he said.
The forum is planning a large business program, extensive business participation and conclusion of agreements and contracts. “We can safely expect that these indicators will be record-breaking this year,” the deputy chairman noted.
The 12th Forum of the Regions of Belarus and Russia will be hosted by Nizhny Novgorod, Russia. This event has already become traditional and is held annually under the auspices of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus and the Federation Council of the Russian Federation. the Forums of Regions saw a total of 588 agreements of various levels and commercial contracts signed for a total amount of more than Br20.5 billion.
