MINSK, 19 December (BelTA) – Minister of Communications and Informatization Kirill Zalessky spoke about the pace of digitalization of traditional industries as he addressed the second session of the 7th Belarusian People’s Congress on 19 December, BelTA has learned.
According to the minister, the national social and economic development program envisions a rapid acceleration of digitalization in traditional sectors such as precision agriculture, industrial robotics, and digital twins of enterprises. “Management decisions will be based not on subjective opinions or reports, but on a vast array of data,” he noted.
Kirill Zalessky affirmed that the country possesses the necessary expertise for this transformation. “Thanks to the president’s decisions made two decades ago, a formidable IT industry was built in Belarus from the ground up. Today, the Hi-Tech Park employs over 60,000 specialists and generates annual exports of $2 billion,” he stated.
