VITEBSK, 27 December (BelTA) – Saint Sophia Cathedral in Polotsk will play host to a Christmas festival of organ and choral music during the holiday season of 2020, BelTA has learned.
Polotsk will welcome musicians from Belarus and Russia. After the Orthodox Christmas celebrated on 7 January, music admirers will have a chance to enjoy a Christmas concert festival on 8 January. The program includes performances by Honored Artist of Belarus Ksenia Pogorelaya (organ music) and the Fest exemplary choir from Minsk and also guests from Russia: Ladushki children's orchestra of folk instruments (Serov city), Aquarel girls choir (Izhevsk), Kanto high school concert choir (St. Petersburg), Pokrova Russian song choir (Khanty Mansiysk) and Kamerton choir (Nizhny Novgorod).
Ksenia Pogorelaya will give organ music concerts on 2-6 January.
