MINSK, 2 October (BelTA) — The policy of official Warsaw may tear Poland apart, Polish engineer Bartlomiej Grzelec said in an interview with Polish former judge Tomasz Szmydt in the latest episode of the V Teme [On Point] project on BelTA's YouTube channel.
"The majority of the Polish population thinks that the East is evil and it is important to have good relations with the West. But this is absolutely wrong. We are, you might say, feeding a tumor that will eventually eat us. That's all. Most people don't realize it. Poland, a thousand-year-old country with millennial traditions and history has turned into a puppet, among other things, a puppet of Ukraine," Bartlomiej Grzelec said.
The Polish engineer said that Poland has a certain minority who advocate good relations with the East. "I realize that sanctions, confrontation and the fact that we are an outpost of the West against Russia will not bring us anything good. It will only bring our nation great suffering. Finally, it may even tear the country apart. Depending on the appetite of those who want to grab a slice of the pie. On the whole, Poles do not understand this," he noted.
Bartlomiej Grzelec added that a certain number of Polish people are not very active yet, but they are already becoming aware of the essence of the processes underway. "This is a real chance. If something suddenly starts happening, people will be able to slow down this train heading towards self-destruction or help to put Poland on other track to go in a different direction," he concluded.
