Poland to host Belarusian Folk Meetings with Prymaki festival on 3 August

MINSK, 30 July (BelTA) – The international festival Belarusian Folk Meetings with Prymaki will take place in Poland on 3 August, BelTA learned from one of the founders of the forum, Director General of the Yanka Kupala National Academic Theater Pavel Latushko.

Belarusian Folk Meetings with Prymaki is one of big annual festivals of Belarusian culture held in Michalowo, Podlaskie Province, Poland. Taking part in this year's event will be more than 20 bands representing the Belarusian ethnic minority of Poland and several leading ensembles of Belarus, including Pesnyary Ensemble, the Tsernitsa ensemble of Belarusian song and the art group Bogach. The folk music band Prymaki with Yuri Ostapchuk will perform at the festival as well.

The annual folk festival welcomes some 5,000-10,000 residents of Poland's Podlaskie Province.
