PM introduces Aleksandr Khodzhayev to Healthcare Ministry staff

MINSK, 26 January (BelTA) – Belarus’ Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko has introduced new Healthcare Minister Aleksandr Khodzhayev to the staff of the Healthcare Ministry, BelTA has learned.

“Aleksandr Valerievich is held in high esteem by his colleagues, medical specialists, as a competent and forward-thinking executive who has the necessary competences, managerial and organizational skills, which he has shown in various positions. I hope that his previous experience will come in handy in his new role,” said Roman Golovchenko.

The Healthcare Ministry has been and remains one of the most important ministries in the government, given the importance of public healthcare for the country, the prime minister noted.

At the same time, Roman Golovchenko noted that public health is now under scrutiny.

“Acknowledging numerous achievements of domestic healthcare sector, I should admit that some shortcomings and failures of the sector have caused great discontent among the population. Therefore, the most important task for the new minister and the ministry as a whole, and for executives at all levels is to restore and increase people’s trust in the healthcare system,” said the prime minister.
