MINSK, 8 April (BelTA) - Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenko bestowed state awards upon 45 representatives of various spheres on 8 April. The solemn ceremony took place in the Palace of the Republic, BelTA has learned.
"Today the Palace of the Republic is once again filled with a solemn atmosphere. It has welcomed representatives of the best labor collectives of various spheres of activity, whose concerted and patient work helps our country to develop. Today you will be honored with state awards on behalf of the President of Belarus. This is the result of your dedication to your work, your life choice, your professional recognition and your country. By your example you have proved how important professionalism and civic position of each person is in the development of the country,” the prime minister said.
Addressing the attendees, Roman Golovchenko noted that their work path, success and recognition are also a vivid example for the younger generation.
Most of the state awards were given to agricultural workers. “This is one of the most complex and multifaceted sectors of the economy. All conditions are being created in Belarus to develop the agro-industrial complex. Your work ensures food security of our country, and export of agricultural products is one of the most promising areas of foreign currency earnings in the country,” the prime minister said.
The head of government also addressed words of gratitude to industrial workers. “Last year was extremely difficult not only for Belarus, Belarusian manufacturers, machine builders and instrument makers, but for the whole world. Nevertheless, the enterprises of the Industry Ministry finished the year 2020 with good results, all conveyors worked without stopping for an hour, sales were in line with the signed contracts, obligations were fulfilled despite the difficult situation with the supply of components and shipments.
The previous year ended on a positive note which this year as well. All the commitments made by the industrial sector in the first quarter have been fulfilled, and these are very good results. It is a huge credit to all of you, who are present here and represent the Belarusian industry,” he said. The prime minister stressed that the implementation of new ambitious projects, aimed at development and quality solutions to the problems set before the labor collectives, largely depends on the level and skills of the managers. “I am pleased to see here the representatives and heads of those organizations and government agencies, whose contribution to the sustainable innovative development of the national economy is appreciated by the state, and the medals For Labor Merit testify to the fact,” Roman Golovchenko added.
“Your life experience is a solid foundation to build on the achievements made so far and move on to new labor results. Motivated and selfless people can conquer any heights, especially when it comes to further development of Belarus,” the prime minister said.
