ALEXANDRIA, 2 June (BelTA) – Plans are in place to sell about 2,500 tickets to the gala concert of the Kupala Night Festival (Alexandria Gathers Friends), Deputy Chairman of the Mogilev Oblast Executive Committee Valery Malashko said during the meeting of the Kupala Night Festival organizing committee, BelTA has learned.

The participants of the meeting also discussed the concept of the future concert. “The idea is as follows: friends will gather to discuss such important values as family, spirituality and love. The friendly conversation will be accompanied by favorite songs. The music program will be formed based on the musical requests of the residents of Alexandria. They will be able to leave a request to perform their favorite song. The soloists will be accompanied by the folk orchestra named after the People's Artist of Belarus Leonid Ivanov. For the first time the honored team will accompany the whole gala concert. The chief director will be artistic director of the Youth Variety Theater Vladislava Artyukovskaya. Each number will be accompanied by choreographic performances. The main stage will be a constructive vault with a rotating screen for a faster change of scenery. “The diplomatic corps, foreign guests remember with great warmth the events of the Kupala Night Festival and its gala concert. Therefore, every year we plan to introduce some new elements, demonstrating rites, and traditions. This year, we are adding a theatrical component. There will be two youth sites at the festival. We want these locations to be of interest to the youth audience, children and their parents. Those elements, which we are trying to introduce together with our colleagues, should create a positive impression on the guests. We want the festival to grow with new ideas and projects, to discover new artists. This festival develops our national component and promotes traditions,” said Igor Petrishenko.
