MINSK, 29 March (BelTA) – The Security Council suggests allowing employers to fire workers, who call for strikes and walkouts. Deputy State Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus Aleksandr Rakhmanov made the statement on the air of the TV channel Belarus One, BelTA has learned.
Aleksandr Rakhmanov said: “So-called illegal strikes are hotly debated these days. If we talk about events of H2 2020, labor disputes were not the point. Actions were taken to stir up trouble among the workers, suspend the operation of enterprises or shut them down. As we can see, the measures were supposed to allow the redistribution of markets later on, including foreign ones, where Belarusian products sell well. ”
The official also noted that no glorification of Nazism can be allowed in Belarus. “The law on preventing the rehabilitation of Nazism is not only a step towards specifying how various government agencies have to proceed in this regard. It is also our persistent and categorical stance on the matter, including in the international scene,” Deputy State Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus Aleksandr Rakhmanov stressed.
