Pinevich thanks employees of Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria

MINSK, 25 January (BelTA) – Belarus' Healthcare Minister Dmitry Pinevich has presented commendation letters to employees of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, BelTA informs citing the Healthcare Ministry press service.

The solemn ceremony took place in Geneva on the sidelines of the 150th session of the WHO Executive Board.

Valeria Grishechkina, Nino Mdivani and Ganna Bolokhovets work on the Global Fund core projects and projects to combat COVID-19. The Global Fund has allocated another grant to Belarus worth more than $30 million for 2022-2024. Since 2004, Belarus has received more than $135 million from the organization.

In 2020, the Global Fund financed efforts to fight the COVID-19 pandemic throughout the world. Belarus was granted about $1.2 million in 2020 and $8.410 million in 2021.

The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria is an international non-governmental organization that mobilizes and invests resources to support programs to fight AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria.
