MINSK, 6 December (BelTA) – The alliance between Belarus and Russia is impossible without deep security cooperation, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told the media ahead of the session of the Supreme State Council of the Union State in Minsk on 6 December, BelTA has learned.
"Belarus is a part of the Union State. This is the most advanced form of integration. Certainly, the alliance is impossible without deep security cooperation. We are developing and improving our bilateral interaction in this area," Dmitry Peskov emphasized.
He pointed out that it is not about increasing the supply of Russian arms to Belarus. According to the spokesman, this is a very simplistic view of cooperation.
"This alliance means exactly the guarantees of mutual security," Dmitry Peskov said.
