MINSK, 24 August (BelTA) – Belarus is ahead of schedule in producing the launcher for Russia’s Oreshnik missile system, Chairman of the Belarusian State Authority for Military Industry Dmitry Pantus said on the air of the Belarus 1 TV channel, BelTA has learned.
“The production of the launcher for the Oreshnik, at least the Belarusian component, is progressing as planned. All these activities are currently ahead of schedule,” Dmitry Pantus said.
Speaking about the development of domestic missile production, he stressed that the army needs “the most powerful, long‑range, and precisely targeted” weapons.
“We have not stopped for a single moment [in this work],” Dmitry Pantus added.
